Welcome to the web-site of The Driving Range, we would like to take this opportunity to tell you about our company, introduce you to the team, and show you why we believe that we stand head and shoulders above our competition.

The Driving Range was established back in 1998 at a prime location just off the Junction 35 (M4), less than half a mile away is the famous golf course St. Mary’s Golf Hotel and country club, which is primarily where the name ‘Driving Range’ came from, we have grown through the years and in 2005 invested considerably when we acquired land adjoined to the existing sales area, this meant that we could double the display area and also erect a new purpose built, luxury sales office and a state of the art vehicle preparation area.

Mark Webb

The team is headed up by Mark Webb who has been in the retail motor industry since 1989, during this time a lot has changed. Mark quickly realized that the internet was going to play a major role in the future of the motor trade, and that it would revolutionize the way that people buy cars. With so many car sales big and small dropping in and out of the market place it is Mark’s goal for the Driving Range to strive to provide an ‘old school’ approach to the business. Mark picks the cars selectively making sure we always have very high specification and individual cars that represent real value for Money.


Andrew Ellis

Andrew Ellis has been with The Driving Range since 2005. Before joining the team he spent 13 years at managerial level in a very successful office furniture business where he was dealing with customers both private and corporate on a daily basis, in this time he has gained experience in all aspects of providing a professional and conscientious customer service. He has taken to his new vocation like a duck to water, with a personable manner and superb sense of humor. He loves his dogs and can often be seen whilst walking them in the early hours red faced tying to keep up with them.


John Hughes

John Hughes has been at The Driving Range since 1998. He started his career in the industry as a panel beater and sprayer, he soon realized that this was too much like hard work and decided to try his hand at selling cars. He sold his first car in 1986 and has loved every second of the motor trade ever since. John knows the business inside out, he has spent all of his working life in Bridgend and is incredibly well known in the Town. Lovingly nicknamed "Honest John" many years ago, John's well earned reputation is one of complete honesty and integrity.


Ken Yanez

Ken Yanez has been with us since 2006, Ken has been in the motor trade since the 1970's and has gained impressive knowledge and experience of all aspects of the job. Ken has worked in most aspects of the Industry over the years and has plenty of stories to tell. Ken has found the new internet side of the business fascinating and still is constantly surprised that a computer can sell cars all over the U.K! He now knows how to turn a computer on and holds the welsh record for one finger typing!


Harvey Jones

Harvey Jones has been with The Driving Range since 2004 as our sales coordinator and takes care of the admin and accounts side of the business. Harvey makes sure that all our cars sold leave us on time and everything that has been agreed in the sale has been done! Harvey is very conscientious and has a real passion for his job! His attention to detail is an asset to him and his polite and sincere approach with customers means he is a valued member of the team. Harvey is involved heavily with the local church and recently travelled to Africa to help the children of Uganda.


Sean Phillips and David Ellis

Sean Phillips has been with The Driving Range since 2004, David Ellis Joined the team in 2005. together they prepare and valet every car to a high standard with pride and a real attention to detail. The guys work very hard indeed sometimes valeting over 80 cars per month!! In their spare time they both clean their own car...as if they haven't had enough in work!!


Together our ultimate goal is to offer customers true value for money in what has become a very competitive and specialist market place and to provide a personal service to each and every one of our customers. Our promise is to always be attentive, courteous and offer the level of customer service you deserve. We allow customers to browse at their own leisure and will only approach if asked to. Our aim is to provide a comfortable, relaxed and pleasurable viewing experience with no pressure sales, nothing like the “car supermarkets” of today where you have barely had a chance to get in and they pounce!

All of our vehicles are handpicked on their own merits, we like our stock to be just that little bit different and unique, this may range from a model that has very good ‘above average’ specification, or can simply just be lower mileage and a more attractive Colour than that is readily available. From our point of view this means we capture our own audience of buyers, from the customers you get individuality and a car that stands out from the rest.

The majority of our vehicles are one owner from new and benefit from a full dealer service history, they are sourced from only the best homes and offered with presentation second to none. We always get the comment from customers on how nicely presented our vehicles are, often commenting also on how we stand out from competitors. All vehicles on the web site give you multiple images and full and very detailed descriptions, if you would like more pictures emailed to you or further information on a vehicle just let us know.

All vehicles sold are put through their paces before they leave us; every car gets a full and very thorough PDI (Pre-delivery inspection) We believe that if sufficient time is spent on the vehicle before it leaves us then the warranty period is a much nicer place to be for all. There is nothing worse than having to go back to a garage reporting faults that a good PDI should have picked up. Also every car leaves us with a comprehensive 3 Month warranty, our warranties are designed for one and all! If you are fairly local to us and you encounter a problem you can bring the car back to us and we take care of the matter personally, or if you purchase a car from us and you are not local you can take your car to a local garage that you know and trust and warranty work can commence there.*
